The Massachusetts Equipment Distribution Program (MassEDP) promotes easy access to innovative, well designed telephones and accessories that accommodate one’s lifestyle or unique requirements. It offers members specialized equipment for free or at a reduced cost, depending on income. If anything fails, MassEDP will replace or repair it at no charge.
Membership lasts a lifetime.
Eligibility
As long as an individual resides in Massachusetts and has a permanent disability that affects the use of the telephone, he or she can participate in the service. A person who is blind or deaf/blind or has a cognitive or motion disability is eligible for free installation. A MassEDP agent visits the home, presents a selection of products, and provides instruction for using the telephone.

- You must be a resident of Massachusetts
- Your permanent disability needs to be verified by a MA licensed physician or audiologist
- You must have access to residential telephone service (land line)
- Your disability must be certified by the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing or the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind or the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.
